I took this shot of a young girl in the Town of Bakun, Benguet. A place high in the mountains, secluded from malls, ATM machines and many other commodities cityfolk take for granted. She ha one lazy eye but was curious to see my camera. I asked her if i could take her picture and she nodded.

This old man sat beside me in one of the Karenderyas (eateries) near where I live. all he ordered was rice, which he planned to eat as a meal accompanied by Toyo (soy) and some sili, until this long haired, tattooed man, offered to pay for his ulam. The karenderya people urged him to pick anything available to accompany his rice meal, but he insisted on a few vegetables instead.
